What do you girls think about this verse Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy one is understanding. I really like this verse because to me it's a reminder that God is God...not just a friend and a father but also God. And as God we must always remember to go to Him with respect. Because it says in all of chapt. 3 that we're all suppose to love wisdom and not be wise in your own eyes but fear the Lord. So even though he is many things to us we have to remember that he is also God and that there should always be that underlying of fear when approaching the God of the universe.

I love that verse. Remembering Who God is can be hard both ways. What I mean by that is when I struggle with trusting God or any other doubts, it is often because I have forgotten Who God is and have separated His character from His power. He is GOD, ALL Powerful, Complete, Perfect, and He is also God, Father, Lover, Friend. It's easy to think about one and not the other. That might be because humans have a hard time being both at the same time (and we obviously can never be perfect or all powerful, but I guess I mean when we try). It's easy mentally to separate love and power, but, like I said, God is complete. It's something I'm working hard to remember.
