What do you think the right age is to have a boyfriend? I'm alomst 14 and all my friends have boyfriends, but my parents say I can't date until I'm 16 or 17:blink: ...I was wondering what other people thought about it.

Well, I'm 13 and I had a boyfriend a couple months ago... To tell you the truth, I like being single! You know all that time you have now to watch tv, play on the computer, read the funnies?... As soon as you get a boyfriend, that'll all be gone! And the worst part is... You'll LIKE it! Well, for a couple moths, that is... But I don't want to convice you not to have one or anything... I'm just saying don't rush yourself. Having a bf just because your friends do is not a good reason to go out with a guy... And remember that the whole point of dating is to find your husband... If you're not ready to be in a serious relationship, maybe you shouldn't be dating... That's how I feel. I don't plan to have another bf until I'm 15, maybe... And if any guys ask me out from now till then, even if it's the guy I've liked for a year, I'm gonna say, "Sorry, but you're gonna have to wait."B)

I'm 17 and never had boyfriend...I think 13 is way too young, but past the point of 16 it depends o nteh spiritual maturity of taht individual.

I'm 16 and I've never had a boyfriend before, and I agree with popcantoo on the fact that you shouldn't have a boyfriend just to have a boyfriend. If you seriously like a guy, then pray about it and God will work out the details in His timing. I agree with Emmy89 and say that 13 is too young to have a boyfriend! If you can't have a boyfriend until your 16 or 17 anyways, then you shouldn't be trying to get a boyfriend behind your parent's backs (I'm not saying that your actually doing that though), just wait until your old enough. There is no real right age to have a boyfriend. I think it's like Emmy89 says and it depends on spiritual maturity as well as God's timing and plan for your life. Don't rush things 'cause you have plenty of time!
