why does God do some of these things?

Why does it always seem like God has given the most amazing, wonderful, Christian people, the worst things in life. One example, a couple who helps out with the youth group alot. they are the most wonderful and kind people you'll ever meet. and they have just found out that she was pregnat, then they later found out the baby had died. My great grandma, immigrated from italy had 7 kids, 2 drowned, 1 died in war, 3 died in car accidents. and she was the most amazing person as well. extremely strong christian and verrry kind to others all the time. Why does God do this?

You have to understand, God doesn't make these things happen. He does allow them to happen, but its not the same thing. I don't claim to understand why; but then if we did understand everything God does, God wouldn't be God. =) There are plenty of verses to support this..even if I don't have them at the moment. Help anyone?

Jeremiah 11:29 Romans 8:28 We can't see the whole picture so when it looksa s if bad things are happening it will all work out for the better in the end. And the Lord will be glorified

God works everything for the good of those who love Him. (is that one of the verse you posted? =) Something bad that happens may affect someone down the road, who will in turn, turn to Christ. Only God knows what He has in store.

1 Peter 1:6-7 "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so tht your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." Trials are to strengthen your faith. (The book of Job is a very good example.) Hope that helped a little bit.
